Cucumber Michelada


  • 1 tablespoon ReaLime® juice, plus more to rim the glass
  • Tajín®
  • ½ thin-skinned (English) cucumber, one long strip removed with a vegetable peeler, remaining thinly sliced
  • Pinch of kosher salt
  • Ice
  • 4 oz. Clamato®
  • 1 (12 oz.) bottle of beer
  • Lime wedge or wheel


  • This fresh take on the classic michelada makes the most of juicy cucumbers, adding them to the drink both muddled and sliced, and using them to garnish the glass, too.
  • Thread the strip of cucumber back and forth onto a cocktail pick and set aside.
  • Wet the rim of a large beer mug with ReaLime® juice and dip in Tajín to generously coat all around.
  • In the mug, muddle 4 to 6 cucumber slices, ReaLime® juice, and salt until very juicy.
  • Fill mug with ice and a few more cucumber slices, then add Clamato® and beer.
  • Garnish with the cocktail pick and lime wedge and serve.
